A woodturning site
Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month, with a number of ‘Hands On’ evenings on the fourth Wednesday of several months each year. The Annual General Meeting being held in March.
We meet in the church hall attached to St Mary’s at Greasley. This is situated on the B600 six miles North West of Nottingham city centre.
The venue is a centrally heated pleasant hall.
For those relying on Sat Nav the post code is NG16 2AB.
The meetings are very well supported and there are two cameras relaying pictures to a large screen via a first class projector (supplied by the Lottery Awards for All) together with a remote sound system to make sure that everyone has a good view and can hear the demonstrator’s commentary.
We also have a Jet lathe for members to use at hands on meetings.
Past demonstrators include Ken Allen, Tony Wilson, Guy Ravine, Margaret Garrad, Mick Hanbury as well as Pyrography by Bob Neill and of course our own Keith Rowley. We also have some very talented members who give demonstrations sharing their experience and expertise with the other members.
Each year we hold three competitions for both experienced and novice members.
Full details of this year’s demonstrations and competitions can be found on the ‘What’s on’ page.
